July 4 to 7, 2024 - International Sign Language Arts Festival
From Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 July 2024, the 11th edition of the Festival Clin d'Œil will be held at various venues in Reims.
Since 2003, the Clin d'Oeil Festival has been organised every 2 years by the CinéSourds association, which aims to promote Sign Language in all its cultural diversity and artistic forms.
We offer live performances, street arts, a film competition, music and song concerts, visual and plastic arts exhibitions and an exhibition of professional stands in the Village. At the same time, we are working on a number of other areas, such as youth, with educational and artistic workshops for 6 to 17 year-olds, and research and development into the cultural heritage of the deaf through seminars, conferences and professional meetings.

February 21, 2024 - Opening ceremony & awards ceremony in the Festival PASS !
Description :
Hello everyone,
We have great news for you! Are you familiar with the Thursday night opening ceremony and the Saturday night cinema awards, which used to be optional events requiring an additional fee? Well, not anymore! They are now free of charge. How? It's simple: by booking your PASS Festival, the opening ceremony and the awards night are included in the PASS Festival program, just like before. It's a comeback!
When registering for a PASS Festival, two important pieces of information are required:
Firstly, please confirm whether you will be attending the opening ceremony and/or the awards night. As seats are very limited, clarity in seat organization is crucial.
Secondly, please confirm whether you would like to opt for an additional feature: the cocktail dinner at the opening ceremony and/or the awards night. This involves mingling over dishes, hors d'oeuvres, and champagne. The cocktail dinner is available for an additional fee of 49 euros. Please click Yes/No during your registration.

January 30, 2024 - Candidature LSF interpreters
Description :
HEY! Hi there!
Are you a French and LSF interpreter? Yes!
So, I've got a proposition for you. Would you like to be part of an international event? Have you heard of the Festival Clin d'Œil?
Every 2 years in Reims, a festival that brings together thousands of people from all over the world, celebrating sign language, deaf culture, and its artistic creations.
That tells you anything?
Then good news! In 2024, Clin d’Œil will be back, from 4 to 7 July!
And we need your help! What does that mean in practical terms? We need you to make the festival accessible in French and in LSF. (For an LSF/IS interpreter?)
There will be meetings, conferences, and prize-giving ceremonies, as well as less 'official' situations such as visits to wineries, for example, which will need interpreting. Of course, you won't be working alone. You'll be part of a mixed deaf/hearing team.
In return:
Meals and accommodation will be provided, and your travel expenses will be covered (up to a maximum of €120). You'll also receive a pass for the 4 days of the festival.
And best of all, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet sign language from all over the world!
Are you interested? Are you curious? you'd like to be part of it? Then what are you waiting for? Come and join us! How do you do that? Easy!
By sending us your application via the Clin d'Œil Festival website:
https://www.clin-doeil.eu/fr/interpretes.html
It's simple, just fill in the form 😉
Still not sure? Want to know more?
You can contact us directly at : interpretes@clin-doeil.eu
Isabelle Lombard and I, Sophie Scheidt, both coordinators of the interpreting team, are ready to answer all your questions.

Editorial
In 2022, there were more than 20,000 festival-goers in the heart of Reims, and we'd like to thank you for your loyalty and curiosity!
The Festival Clin d'Oeil is back for its 11th edition, from 4 to 7 July 2024. Get ready to see the big picture!
Clin d'Oeil is supported by all the local authorities, from the French Ministry of Culture to the City of Reims, which has always been a firm supporter of this world-class festival. It is the best showcase for the arts in sign language.
The festival is recognised as a major event in the deaf community. It now aims to become a benchmark in French and world cultural heritage.
With some forty countries represented at the next edition, this festival brings cultures together and advocates the mixing of languages and sign languages from all over the world. The festival is entirely accessible in LSF - Langue des Signes Française and IS - International Signs.
IN and OFF shows are now the hallmarks of the Festival Clin d'Oeil:
- In the halls of La Comédie de Reims and the Centre Saint-Exupéry: a full programme of live performances by leading theatre companies in sign language and screenings of short films and documentaries with a prestigious Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening.
- In the Village Clin d'Oeil, located in the largest car park in the Stade Delaune, with a surface area of 7,000 m2: artistic and professional exhibitors, street artists, musicians, circus performers, magicians, comedians, comedians under the Theatre's big top... a continuous programme every day from morning until the following morning, with its famous Deaf Party every evening (concerts by singers/musicians/dancers).
New, even more diverse activities will be on offer in 2024.
A musical laboratory
What better way than the Deaf Parties at the Festival Clin d'Oeil to experiment with equipment that transmits the vibrations of music to the deaf, with a 150 m2 dance floor and 40 Subpac waistcoats.
In 2024, a new and fast-growing category, SLAM, will be the focus of a SLAM Battle, with 24 participants from 6 countries competing over 2 days.
For those unfamiliar with this unusual festival, as its name suggests, the 4 days will fly by in the blink of an eye... So plan your stay in Reims in advance, and discover all the richness of its terroir, thanks to cultural visits accessible in LSF or IS, organised in partnership with the city of Reims, the Tourist Office and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux for visits to Reims Cathedral and the Palais du Tau, not forgetting the Champagne cellars of our partners: Champagne Taittinger in Reims and Champagne De Sousa in Avize.
Enjoy the festival!
